The Psibeam passes harmlessly through the Shuppet - damned Ghost types are like that.

It does a happy little bob in the air to show off exactly how unscathed it is by the attack, while making a terrible sound of mirth, effectively a Screech attack. ]}

[It took him about as long to confirm this was a ghost type (cut him some slack, he doesn't get a Pokedex!). Espeon and Umbreon flinched a bit, but it was gonna take more than that to perturb an Ace Pokemon Thief.

Umbreon was up then; and it ran forward and lept into the air for a Bite attack.]

_{[--and the good times stop right there, right when that Umbreon's teeth clamp down on it, ow ow ow ow.

When it's tossed free of the Bite, the Shuppet spins through the air for a bit before managing to right itself.

A circle of little blue balls of flame - Will-O-Wisps, ghostlights, whatever word worked best - appeared around the Shuppet, and one by one they swooped forward at Umbreon.]}

[Aha, that got it aggravated.

He was never one to believe in the stories of ghostly little guides anyway, but it did make Umbreon recoil from the attack.

Umbreon was hardy enough to tough it out, at least for a bit. A firm nod from the Pokemon was enough to confirm what he already knew.

Espeon expressed a touch of concern for his partner, but on Wes' command waved its head to unleash a circle of white light around itself and Umbreon-- a Helping Hand Attack.

With the extra boost, Umbreon jumped up and rushed forward again with a Faint Attack.]
